  • Such a beautiful place for rest. Took a drive through the winding paths, spent time in reverence around the graves of the more notable buried there. SO much art in the tombstones and grave sites. Very enjoyable afternoon.
  • Not an ordinary cemetery; instead, you'll find beautiful, shaded walking trails that bring you to scenic overlooks of the river and the Richmond skyline while surrounded with amazingly landscaped and detailed granite gave markers and stone mausoleums. It's really beautiful here and almost too large to cover in a day of hiking. You can drive through or take your bike. If biking, there are off-road trails that take you down to the river. If walking, there are plenty of shaded areas and benches to rest. There are lots of elevation changes so keep that in mind if you are bringing children or the elderly. There are walking tours (for a fee) most every day at 10am. Very cool place!
