  • We went for the free passport weekend, which Richmond does twice a year.. It was a little rushed due to them doing an abridged tour and having a higher-than-usual volume of guests, but the parts of the hall we got to see were beautiful. The grounds and gardens were well maintained and the docents were knowledgeable and interesting. We will definitely be going back later this spring or summer to pay for the full tour. It's such a cool piece of history.
  • Besides Historic St. John's Episcopal Church this is the best thing to see in Richmond. Very interesting & well preserved. You really are seeing a genuine 16th century Tudor house brought over from England with true period furnishings without going to England. Don't miss it.
