Learn about America's early history at The Jenney, home to exhibits and tours exploring the Pilgrim story. The museum is in a historical building next to the site where Pilgrim John Jenney operated his gristmill in the 17th century. It houses rotating exhibits about early-American agriculture, industry, trade, and Jenney's life. Visitors can learn even more about American history by taking one of the tours that Leo Martin, an enthusiastic local historian, runs from the museum. • We enjoyed the Jenney walking tour as an outdoor activity during the COVID pandemic. Leo is a historian and an entertainer. I would definitely recommend.  more »

  • Fascinating and I learned a lot! It's a small exhibit, but many in-depth historical facts came from the staff/owners, who cheerfully shared very interesting aspects to the real tale of the Pilgrims. I gave it a 5 mainly because of that part of my visit. Note: I am an avid history buff, so this may be "unappreciated" by some people out there who aren't really into historical attractions. Hopefully, though, everyone who visits will experience a warm conversation from the couple working there like I did!
  • Well worth taking the walking tour before visiting Plymouth Plantation. The narrator Leo Martin is colorful and brings out the human element to the Pilgrims story.
