Covering half a city block of indoor and outdoor space, Philadelphia's Magic Gardens (PMG) glistens with creativity and urban renaissance. Artist Isaiah Zagar began tiling South Street in the 1960s and never stopped, eventually building a mosaic garden out of ceramic shards, broken mirrors, bicycle spokes, and vivid splashes of dyed cement. The tiled passages of PMG weave over and under ground, and perhaps more than anything through the mind of a dedicated and obsessed artist. To visit Philadelphia's Magic Gardens on your trip to Philadelphia, use our Philadelphia attractions planner .

This place is amazing. So much talent to have created this space. Great place to go on a date or o take family and friends. Would love to go back again next time in Philly. more »
Loved this place! We bought tickets online beforehand and were able to go right in. Such a cool place, the different pieces of art inside are amazing and crazy! We were in Philly for the weekend and definitely appreciated being able to see this artistic spot.
The mosaics themselves were impressively weird. Obviously a lot of work went into it. But not worth the admission price, IMO. Understandably, the staff got on people’s cases for leaning against the walls or touching things. If you’re looking for photos, just go around the corner and into the alleyway. And then you can lean/pose all ya want.
