After years of loyalty to the Provo location, I visited this one today for the first time and sadly won't be back. After being ignored for 10 minutes, the woman working was aloof and unfriendly. No more sampling at your leisure to find a perfect combination, but instead you have to ask for each sample. It took away from the experience I used to enjoy so much. Also, the Provo location would rinse and clean old bottles before refilling them. Instead of making an effort, this woman just made a comment about how she was mixing the new oil with rancid oil because I didn't run it through the dishwasher first. So....I just spent nearly $50 on oil that you just contaminated with rancid oil? Thanks so much for pointing that out as I'm walking out the door. I used to recommend this place to friends and family, buy oil as gifts, etc, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
We love Mountain Town Olive Oil! They have fantastic oils and vinegars but what you wouldn't expect is that they also have a variety of interesting spices - everything to raise your cooking experience to the next level. Their truffle oil is incredibly special and makes a beautiful gift. We use it on popcorn and salads. We also like their strawberry vinegar paired with lemon olive oil for a simple summer salad dressing. The staff is helpful and welcoming and the product quality is top notch. They make pretty gift baskets and wrap your oils in nice packages with tissue paper. With all the chain stores moving into Main Street, it's nice to see a locally owned and operated business thriving.
