  • Hands down one of the most amazing historical homes I've ever visited. The history, the preservation of original items in the home, and the guides were superb. Teddy Roosevelt was one of the most innovative, smart, down-to-earth, and amazing leaders this country has ever had. Everyone should read about him and get back to living his values. Grounds are lovely, too, but visiting in winter (early March 2019) there was still snow on the ground and this Florida girl wasn't about to spend too much time outdoors. Definitely worth the drive out to this site.
  • The park entrance and the museum are free. They only charge for a tour for Theodore Roosevelt's house. You can buy the ticket at the Old Orchard Museum where a minute walk to the East side of the parking lot. $10 for an adult and under 16 is free. The knowledgeable volunteer guide spends over hour to showing and explaining about the house as well as TR families which worth more than the price of the ticket.
