Oregon Coast Glassworks Reviews
It was such a surprise to see all the different kinds of glass they make. Very colorful and unique. Was a little pricey for me but the work was really beautiful. more »
A gift shop where YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN GLASSWORKS? Yes, please! I had a lot of fun making a lovely glass float which I’m going to turn into a nightlight. The only downside about this place is that... more »
My husband and I live in Salem and drove to the coast for our anniversary. We were staying in pacific city but the one thing we really wanted to do for our anniversary was take a glass blowing class & make something together. We drove to Newport and scheduled an appointment for 4 pm. We get there on time for our appointment and after a hour & a half of standing around, realized they STILL had 2 or 3 people ahead of us (each person takes approx. 30 mins for their class) my husband and I own a business so it’s very rare and hard for us to slip away for a night so we decided to tell them we were going to have to cancel considering we probably wouldn’t get to take our class for another hour/hour & a half(making that 3.5 hours AFTER our scheduled appointment) and didn’t feel like standing around for hours. The lady didn’t even care. She knew it was our anniversary, they even all congratulated us as we walked in the door. All she said was “oh okay” with a smile on her face and as we were walking away she yelled “maybe next time!” Very rude and unprofessional. We make appointments for a reason. I understand that sometimes things happen and you get behind schedule. But you should atleast make it somewhat right with the customer. Since we waited on them for our appointment, we weren’t able to do anything else because everything was closing. The lease they could do is offer a different time maybe first thing in the morning. Or maybe offer us a free class for wasting our once in a long time night out on our anniversary. Safe to say I’ll never give this company business again.
Amazingly professional and cooperative! Robin made over 50 seastars for our 50th anniversary gifts, and we couldn't be happier! Also beautiful glass objects made locally. A must stop.
