A pillar of the community in lower Manhattan, Trinity Church has played an integral part in New York history from the Revolutionary War to present day. In 1698 Capt. William Kidd gave the runner and tackle from his ship to the builders for hoisting during construction. The church was rebuilt twice before the final reconstruction was completed in 1846. Admire the bronze doors and 23 bells, which reflect the rich patronage the church has received throughout the years. See the burial place of Alexander Hamilton and other famed New Yorkers in the cemetery. Near the burial grounds, you can also visit the tree sculpture commemorating those lost on 9/11. The church is still active with services and a full music program. Trinity Church Reviews
한인 투어하면서 들렀던 곳인데, 지금 공사중이라 외관을 보며 설명만 들었다. 외관도 현재 공사중이라 섭섭하긴 했다. 10년 전 쯤 이 뒤에 신기하게 생긴 나무가 있던걸로 기억한다! more »The Korean tour is a place called deulreossdeon, while under construction right now, watching the appearance description only. Exterior this upsets are currently under construction. Ten years ago this was a weird-looking behind the trees remember!
En el paseo por wall Sreet nos llamó la atención esta iglesia con su alta torre mezclada entre medio de los edificios. Su aspecto por fuera es muy muy bueno. more »On the walk through wall Sreet this church caught our attention with its high tower mixed between the buildings. Its appearance on the outside, it is very very good.
Beautiful church and grounds. Most of inside was closed off for repairs/renovations, but the chapel you could see is beautiful. Cemetery on the grounds is surreal, the history there is amazing. Saw graves for Revolutionary War veterans. Graves date from all centuries of our country (minus possibly the 20th and 21st).
This is an awesome church tucked in the middle of Town I just happened to stumble across this place and learn a little bit about its history and it was very interesting to know this place has also been in a couple of movies it also has a cemetery on both sides and even a few more plots tucked in around and under the church this is an amazing place you should see if you're in town and have a couple hours to kill there are some very well-known buried here this place goes way back it is very interesting to look at the Tombstones as many of them are from the 1700 and 1800 hundreds it is very easy to spend a good couple of hours or so here they do close at 6 and it is also free when I was here they were doing interior renovation so you could not go inside the church if I'm ever back in town I would definitely stop here just to look at the inside and walk around in a few more times very interesting place enjoy yourself
