The Book of Mormon Reviews
Went last night to the San Diego showing. I judge quality on a scale of economic value. Would I pay $125.00 to see it a second time? Just shoot me first. Do I wish I would have not had to spend the mo... more »
All notions of lambasting and incensed social justice warrior rage shelved, this simply is not in any way funny or entertaining. Feel like I've missed the punchline.... For 2.5hours straight. more »
The Book of Mormon is great! I finally won lottery tickets (after entering 465 times, yes that is on average one per day for more than a year), and so I came to see it. I got shafted with a seat that was in the box, but actually the viewpoint wasn't too bad. It was an interesting perspective (and I also moved down to the orchestra level after intermission). Anyway, the show is really funny and the songs are mostly really upbeat, and it presents a unique and intriguing viewpoint about Mormonism (and I think religion in general). I definitely recommend it, but not for young children as there's quite a bit of cussing and vulgarness.
Definitely recommend going to see this show. From start to finish it is a ball of laughter. Not too many over the top jokes, only the odd moment that you can feel the uncomfortableness in the theatre. Not for those with a conservative mindset. Cast and production was great.
