  • Fun pop art sculpture. Very big so you can't miss it. Lots of people take pictures of themselves with it. While there take in the sculpture called Double Check that is diagonally across the intersection from red cube. This is a fun bronze statue of a business man checking his open briefcase. The sculpture, Seward Johnson, is grandson of one of the Johnson&Johnson founders
  • This huge (25 foot tall?) outdoor sculpture of steel and aluminum, perched on one end, survived both 9/11 and Occupy Wall Street (That’s a small joke, as OWS, which occurred across the street, at Zuccotti Park, was totally non-violent). Red Cube has been there for fifty years, I think. Just wonderful and is a delight to see, every time. Controversial new redesign of the plaza is afoot so you might want to see it now, before the original architectural concept is corrupted by the addition of trees, walls, seating. Red Cube will make you smile.
