The new World Trade Center embodies the best of 21st century New York, brimming with innovative architecture, renowned public artwork, and grand open spaces. This “New Downtown” links Tribeca to the Financial District, and features a variety of modern amenities. This is a truly reborn place which now pulses with energy 24/7/365; all while offering a vibrant, street-level experience that effortlessly integrates the neighboring environment into its surroundings.
Bordered by Vesey Street to the north, the West Side Highway to the west, Liberty Street to the south, and Church street to the east, the World Trade Center is a sprawling, 16 acre mixed-used environment composed of 5 iconic office towers, the 8-acre 9/11 Memorial and Museum and over half a million square feet of shopping and dining. The entire area is the anchor for New York’s hottest “new” neighborhood. World-class shopping, dining, hotels, attractions & recreational options merge with unmatched accessibility to create the City’s #1 destination.
The World Trade Center offers direct, weather-protected access to most of the City’s subway, bus and ferry lines, with easy access to 11 subways & PATH trains directly from the buildings. Two new train stations (the WTC Transportation Hub designed by Santiago Calatrava, and the MTA Fulton Transit Center designed by Nicholas Grimshaw) pair commuting efficiency with stunning architecture and function.
The World Trade Center, and its surrounding commercial neighborhood, is home to market leaders in every field — from financial and media giants, to some of the most innovative high-tech firms and start-ups on the planet. These cutting-edge companies have chosen to headquarter at the WTC because of its ultra-modern state-of-the-art facilities, convenient commuter accessibility, and proximity to a highly desirable workforce.

This is a must see and never forget NYC experience. Make the time to include this in your schedule. The elevator ride to the top is super smooth and unbelievably quick. Once you arrive on top, there are two floors with fantastic 360° views of NYC & NJ from the all glass observatory. There are two choices for restaurants up top. One is fine dining and, although pricier than the hot dog and sandwich shop, it has great seating views and tasty food. Tip: They handle the crowds well to buy admission tickets, but if you can afford it, pay extra for a reserved time.
Amazing views and great presentation. However, with the ticket price, the placement of the restaurant and a strong sense of persuasion to get you to upgrade your ticket, it did feel like every attempt was made to squeeze its visitors wallets dry. It's business indeed, but does take away from the overall experience. Also the window facing Midtown Manhattan is always crowded, even 30 minutes before closing time.
