Experience what it was like to stand beside the New York firefighters after the 9/11 attacks at Ground Zero Museum Workshop. The interactive museum, located a short drive from the 9/11 memorial, offers an in-depth look at the World Trade Center terrorist attacks and its aftermath through a collection of photographs, artifacts, and personal testimonies. Take a two-hour audio tour to walk through that day's events. You can handle artifacts from the Ground Zero recovery, including the largest remaining piece of World Trade Center glass. All museum proceeds are donated to the Fire Department of New York Foundation. To find out how to plan a trip to New York City, use our trip itinerary maker.

I took this tour back in May. I’ve been meaning to write a review because it was so amazing. It was such an emotional and memorable experience. You will not be disappointed. There were items there that will just blow your mind away. You are allowed to have a connection with all the artifacts and also allowed to hold some, including a piece of plane that was involved in the World Trade Center. Thank you to the Firefighter who captured all these memories, allowing people to have an experience such as the one I did.

We enjoyed visiting this museum very much. It’s only one room but it’s full of photos and artefacts from the aftermath of 9/11. Each one is numbered and you are given an audio guide so you just punch in the corresponding number to hear the photographer himself tell you about it. Seating is provided so you can listen in comfort. Allow 90 mins to hear all 100 recordings. Start with 101 which is the introduction then continue with 1, 2, 3 etc.
