The National WWII Museum reviews
Wow. I work at a different National Museum, and I can say that this museum is top notch. It tells a story in a graphic, beautiful, moving, devastating way. The museum forces you to contemplate the..... more »

Great museum with dog tag tracking feature. If you want to really get into the details of every panel and exhibitions you will probably need more than 2days, but for normal tourist, one day is enough. The STEM building could be better because it includes too few exhibitions. Other buildings are magnificent and inspiring. Volunteers are also very friendly and helpful. The ticket line is usually long so purchase in advance online is recommended.
World War ll Museum This place is a treasure of history to include pictures, replicas, recordings and personal memoirs from many people who were there during the conflict. From the very start in Europe and the chaos caused by Hitler, to the bombing of Japan that finally put an end to this tragic war. They not only talk about the war, but the events that led up to it. It is split up into sections, so you leave each section and walk into the next part of history. A few of the areas were set up to make you feel you were there. There was even a section telling about how those at home played their part. Loved the personal interviews that you could listen to. And there are plenty of guides along the way to answer questions. If we brought students here while teaching about this part of history they would leave with not only the facts but would also have a memorable experience of how this part of history affected the entire world. Be sure to give yourself the better part of a day to visit. Admission is $28.50 and was well worth the price. Several places to park for a fee in walking distance. I understand they are always adding new displays so you will probably never have the same experience twice.
