Domaine Carneros, Napa

4.1
#1 of 69 in Wineries in Napa
Taste the sparkling Pinot Noir at Domaine Carneros, or enjoy a cheese plate and a tour around the château. Both the château and the production area are constructed in the French style, making this a more Old World experience than you'll find at other California wineries. For some extra decadence, limousines are available for hire. Almost all of the fruit processed here comes from estate vineyards, and it’s all certified organic. Using our world travel planner, Napa attractions like Domaine Carneros can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • The guy who was our tour/tasting guide was great. He was the best part of the experience. Having said that, the “tour” is not very much of a tour. You go into a room and see a short video about the bo...  more »

  • We are not wine drinkers but we went here for the pretty sights and photography. We weren't disappointed with the main building (we did not take a tour), the rolling hills and the vineyard. The garden...  more »

  • Had a very educative and pleasant tour (thank you Janet). The tour starts in the vineyard in front of the estate, where we got a taste of the fresh fruit. The tour continues inside where you learn some wine drinking essentials like, small bubbles/ small troubles. We got to taste several flutes of their fine bubbles. At the end of the tour you are offered a chance at membership and to buy some bottles of bubbly at a discount. We spend sometime lounging on the terrace, to take in the sun and the view. It was an amazing experience for my girlfriend and I.
  • I like this winery. I am not a wine expert. I know the wine here may not be the best. But the overall experience is really good. The winery has good views and a prime location. You can easily spot this from the road. The cheese plates here are good. And it’s not very expensive too. I am not aware if they offer any tours though.
  • If you expect any kind of service prepare to go somewhere else. We sat at a table for 20 minutes and not one waiter or server came over. We finally had to just leave. It's pretty but not worth the humiliation. Go to Hudson's across the way.
  • Fantastic experience, lots of delicious wines and a really knowledgeable host who knows everything about the different wines you will taste. Can highly recommend the Chateau sampler and the Dijon 777! I will definitely be coming back here for another visit!
  • We did the sparkling wine and food pairing. Our guide (if that's what you call them), Santos, was superb. It's was also very good value compared to the normal tasting menu.
