Fly high above the Atlantic Ocean with a ride on Myrtle Beach SkyWheel, a 57 m (187 ft) Ferris wheel opened in 2011. The wheel features 42 glass-enclosed, air-conditioned gondolas, each with bucket seating for six and UV protective windows designed for optimal viewing. The highlight of the wheel is a cutting-edge lighting system with more than one million LEDs, capable of creating a range of light effects best appreciated after sunset. Remember that vistas of the Myrtle Beach shoreline change at different times of day, providing you with a new perspective each time you ride the wheel. Avoid standing in long lines by booking your tickets online or by phone. It’s probably not fair to call the SkyWheel a Ferris Wheel. The fully enclosed gondolas have air conditioning and provide a spectacular view of the ocean, boardwalk, beach, and downtown area. The... more »
Such an exciting experience!! This SkyWheel adventure is well thought out and so much fun! My husband's in a wheelchair and this was 100% accessible. The ramps for ingress and egress are good quality and easy to utilize! No transfers necessary! The air conditioned cars made it even better on a hot day in SoCo! The views are fantastic! You can see the entire crescent coast from above! Absolutely revisiting this adventure!!
My wife and I were very impressed with this Ferris wheel. Each gondola holds 6 people and is air conditioned. Excellent views from the top. I think it went around about 5 times before dropping us off. Paid parking is available close by. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area.
