We drove out to the Lighthouse and were pleasantly surprised at the size and beauty of the exterior, then toured the interior, roaming from room to room viewing the various artifacts and pictures........ more »
This is probably the most majestic place to go on Long Island! There was plenty of parking, and it is easy for pedestrians to navigate to the lighthouse and other beaches near it. The hill near the lighthouse and is a great place to relax ! The actual lighthouse itself is awesome! It’s a trek getting up to the top (the stairs are VERY steep), but I felt like it was worth it! Had a great time out here!
Such a great activity to go check out. The lighthouse has a museum attached where you learn about Montauk’s history as well as the shipwrecks along the coast. We were excited to go up the lighthouse, but the line was over an hour and we didn’t want to wait that long. Overall still very scenic and you learn some cool stuff.
