Established on August 1, 1945 as Miami’s ‘Colored Only Beach’ immediately became a spot for social gatherings to tourists and residents who made trips to enjoy amenities such as the carousel, the dancing pavilion or the mini-train that would run through the enormous park. Now, characterized by a unique and precious natural environment, the City of Miami’s largest recreational jewel serves as the ultimate recreational location for those who want to bask in the splendor of the sun and ocean.Arrange your visit to Historic Virginia Key Beach Park and discover more family-friendly attractions in Miami using our Miami trip planner.

Historic Virginia Key Beach Park reviews
💕💓😍I love this spot and have been going since 1996! You can bike around and find secluded spots to chill out and appreciate the ocean! Excellent bike trails! One of the best beach spots in Miami in my opinion!
This place was amazing! Its shallow and the current is not strong great for the kids to swim in without worry. Has many shades and picnic table with a grill next to it. They also have a changing room with a shower and yes they have Hot Water! Up north you can take your kids to see the iguanas. Parking was $5 and I would recommend giving it a try. I would give this a 5star if there was less seaweed here.
