  • What an amazing Ohio State Park! This was my first time to camp here and my family had a fantastic time! The staff were friendly and very helpful. This park has so much to do without ever leaving the campground! Hiking, fishing, cabins, mountain biking, swimming pool, kayaking, canoeing, tubing, and a very nice camp store that even includes ice cream! Many of the sites are full hookup. The river runs through the campground. Many sites are situated along the side of the river. But for everyone else, there are many access points to get into the river. Before you go, but your river tubes on Amazon and save some money! The sites are a bit small, but I did not feel crowded. I will definitely be back again next year!
  • When coming to Mohican we traveled 14 hours to get there. Upon arrival the cabin floors were covered in dirt. We stayed in the century house due to several families coming to be together for our yearly get together. There are rat traps everywhere, along with dust and spider webs throughout the house. There was no privacy as workers use the front porch as the walkway to wherever they are going. We have 1 family member who was exposed while a male worker walked right by the windows. Also as we would lay our toddlers down for naps it seems their break room is connected to the century house because workers were walking under the deck bouncing a ball. Since we have so many families we have been going to the local laundry mat where we witnessed workers stuffing and I mean cramming white laundry sheets into the washers. We took pictures because to prove that there was no possible way to even fit another pillow case in the washer. How in the world are the sheets clean at this place? Gross!!! Also, when we researched before coming public drop in for your own personal kayaks this place came up as having public access to the river. When we attempted to drop in with our family we were told no. We have to rent from them. SCAM! They said it was a liability even though we were doing all the work to get our kayaks in the water. We are highly trained and skilled kayakers on the water as we do this avidly and this is not new territory for us. When trying to speak to the workers they were very rude and dismissive. We have spent thousands of dollars to stay in a dirty cabin, with very little privacy and dirty sheets. I will never come back to this place again. So sad because we literally spent a fortune between our families to come have fun and make memories.
