Explore the impressive collection of pre-20th-century European art that fills the rooms of The Getty Center. Nestled in the hills overlooking Los Angeles, the six-building complex, notable for its new-age architecture and expanse of landscaped gardens, features exhibits of 19th- and 20th-century photographs, sculptures, and paintings. Take your time wandering through the museum’s sculpture garden, or have your picture taken with Van Gogh’s "Irises." Pack a picnic to have in the gardens while taking in a panoramic view of the city. • Contrary to what the guides say, the place is not really for children, there is a very small room reserved for them, nothing extra ordinary, and quickly filled! On the other hand the site is superb the beautiful architecture and view

  • A must visit in Los Angeles! You can park your car in the garage and then there is a free tram you take that takes you to the top. At the top there are multiple exhibits and galleries, with a stunning view of the city. There's also a cactus garden and larger flower garden with lots of green spaces for people to enjoy. You can also bring picnic lunches and sit on the lawn to enjoy the space. Best part is everything is free
  • A must see in the area. Everything about this museum and complex is well thought out and strikingly beautiful. Get there early, because you can easily spend an entire day here. Lots of places to eat, and it's worth a trip for the architecture alone! So many noteworthy pieces of art here. You won't be disappointed.
