Shop ‘til you drop at the shopping mecca of Hollywood & Highland, one of the most frequented attractions in the city. The center is home to two theatres--of note is the Dolby Theatre, the host of the annual Academy Awards. Over 70 shops, two nightclubs, several restaurants, a movie theatre, and a bowling alley also call the complex home. The centerpiece of the complex is a massive archway, modeled to be an exact replica of the one seen in the Babylon scene from the movie "Intolerance." Hollywood & Highland Reviews
At the center of Hollywood, it is a great bounce off spot to enjoy the Walk of Fame, The Famous Chinese Theater, El Capitan Theater, and other tourist spots. Shopping is nice, Food is okay. As a pass.... more »
As well as an abundance of shops the main draws is the open walkways with a great view of the Hollywood sign. No visit to Hollywood is really complete unless you have seen this. more »
Great Shopping Mall, lots of great shops and a public Restroom. There was a transient in the restroom which felt kinda awkward as he was sort of wigging out a bit on drugs. I can see how this might feel very unsafe for people. It might be nice if they added a police call box in the restroom to prevent possibly a bad situation. Other than that, the restaurants are great. They have some great events here. I saw the Mayans Kick off here which was a blast. Great place to get together with friends to start the night off right. Parking is pretty easy and affordable especially for the area
Crowded, busy, vibrant, lots of action, throngs of young people and tourist, all kinds of street vendors and impersonators on Hollywood Boulevard. If that's what you're looking for you can't beat it. Up-scale mall stores, good restaurants, terrific parking underground for $17 all day after 2 hours or the subway stops under the mall.
