  • Clean, tastefully modern, ample personal space, especially for the long-legged movie-going giraffes like me. Great assortment of refreshments. I have a very short list of theaters that are around nowadays which provide a decent, movie-going experience without feeling like I'm sitting in current-day coach class on domestic flights, and El Capitan Theatre is on that list.
  • The most lavish of four Hollywood Blvd theaters designed for live performances, it opened in 1926, featuring stars such as Buster Keaton, Clark Gable, Henry Fonda, Jason Robards and Will Rogers. It was renamed the Paramount Theatre in 1942 and became a movie palace. "Citizen Kane" premiered here. Its original name and appearance were restored in 1990. The exterior is Spanish Colonial style and the interior is East Indian.
