  • I came to The Hills for the first time to do the usual touristy stuff and the Sanford Lab was mentioned and I was intrigued. I love science and this was the perfect stop in my opinion, arguably my favorite thing we did. There is quite a bit to read and a nice little area outside to see the open cut. You could spend around 45 minutes here reading about all the interesting work being done. I would highly recommend checking it out.
  • The place is very small or at least you are limited on the immense amount of knowledge and data you can learn about. It’s like a small little store for the visitor room. However, apart from the small gift shop or little visitor area. You will see a 3D design of all the underground mining and tunnels that exist underneath you. It’s incredible to believe that all that is underneath your feet and there’s not much information about it. Quit been stingy and share the knowledge Sanford! Share more about the mining history, about the findings, about the development that has beeb done. We know and understand you got some good researching going on under our feet and probably needs special security clearance for that, but it’ll be nice to at least put some more history in display. Traveling thousands of miles just to go there and to be disappointed by the lack of history in display. To whoever is in charge, I hope you share or display more history about the mining and how the mining became to be. It’s the only reason I traveled there for. Other than that , I could’ve just googled the history and avoided that place if I had known about the lack of history display.
