Museum of Fine Arts, Houston Reviews
It was a great privilege to see the Berthe Morrissot show and the Private collection of mostly Impressionist works. The audio tour was excellent. This was the draw, but the permanent collection was al... more »

Moving away from the typical Texan atmosphere of jeans, rodeos, steaks, etc. This cultural space proves that Houston is a cosmopolitan city where culture also has its space. Highly recommended for those looking for more in this great city.
A perfect place to learn different cultures. I love going to this museum once a while, especially when they have exhibition from out of the country. Last time when I was there it was for an exhibition from Taiwan called the emperor's treasure. Now I have been to Taiwan before and visited the forbidden city treasure, but because the museum was very small and couldn't exhibit their whole collection, there's lot other amazing item I wasn't lucky enough to enjoy. But this time they brought whole lots other treasure that's not displayed while I was there. And how lucky I am to visit our museum while they displayed here. They are absolutely amazing. Highly recommend go to museum once a while to visit. It will bring you whole lot of great surprises.
One of my favorite places in Houston. It has very open feel to it. Within three buildings, you can find art for your taste. I prefer American late 1800’s as far as paintings. I also enjoy reading the wise sayings on African shamans’ canes. If you have not been, definitely check it out.
