Na Hoku II Catamaran Reviews
Our cruise was such a relaxing and somewhat exciting 90 minutes with lovely hosts/crew showing their skills to rapidly maneuver the sails and steering to minimize the on-board splash, which brought... more »

Safety rules applied only to some passengers but not others. There were four passengers on the cruise: three young women who were allowed to do anything they wanted - hang over the wires at the front of the boat and use the netting as a trampoline. I was the only one who was told repeatedly to stay seated and hold on to the railing It should have been the perfect sail with the amazing weather and scenery, the tiny group size and the calm seas. The fly in the ointment was the double standard of safety for me, a woman in my sixties who never intended to join in the acrobatics. Any time I reached for a camera or stood up a crew member would rush to remind me not to stand up or let go of the railing before hopping back to the prow to do somersaults with the three attractive teenage girls (who happened to be very nice people.) After several of these warnings I said that I didn't appreciate the double standard for safety. It was hard to convince them that I was less likely to drown by jumping across the boat from a seated position than a younger woman would be while balancing on the railing. I don't mind rules or the lack of them, but I mind being the only passenger expected to observe them. Edit:I would have been more scathing, but assumed that a responsible owner would hit the roof. Owner did not seem to have read the review. If everyone on board were reminded of safety issues it would be fine The problem was that I was the ONLY PASSENGER who was supposed to follow them. Everyone else was allowed to go wherever they wanted. The acrobatics were by other passengers, not just the crew.
Ok, this is absolutely the best boat on the island. If you’re looking for sea life, you’ll definitely get to see it. This group is number one! I’ve been to Waikiki several times and this crew it’s the best! You will not be disappointed!
