Worst tour company ever. My husband and I thought since we were huge fans of the TV show LOST and going to Oahu that it would be worth spending just over $500 for a tour of lost filming locations. We were picked up by Tom who seemed ok although a bit quirky. Not long into our ALL day tour, he was straight out rude. He would mumble information and if we asked him to repeat it, he would either quickly mumble an answer we couldn't understand or ignore us all together. Beware, he also took us to Hurley's mental institution and showed us the wrong building. My husband caught this and we walked across a lawn to see the actual site. It was private property so we were unable to go right up to the building. We did tell him that we were going to take a couple of quick pictures and he was fine with it. The botanical garden is where Kate and Sawyer's waterfall is. We had to pay the entry fee which is clearly noted on the website, but it should be noted that it is a long walk to it and there is so much to see that you do not have time to enjoy it all. We rushed to the falls and walked back, it was over crowded and not worth the tour. Now, it was time for lunch, the website is misleading. If you go to the burger restaurant formally co-owned by Daniel Dae Kim, your tour gets cut short that time. We opted to grab something quick. There is no vegetarian option according to Tom other than the local grocery store, Foodland. We quickly ate some prepared food inside and went back to the car. Tom said we should have eaten "on the go" because that was the plan. He had a new Range Rover and he never told us this. We did not think we were supposed to. We said we found both vegetarian and meat options and they were great, he replied that he was surprised because it was "it was a dive". We were confused as to why he would take customers to a "dive". We enjoyed our dinner. I found this rude and unprofessional. During the entire day he would speed, often doubling the speed limit. He was not paying attention as he was on both his phone texting and looking through his iPad. His sporadic driving did not feel safe, but it was out of our control and we paid a lot of money for this so we just had to deal with it. There was one time where we asked to roll down the window to take pictures of the radio tower because he was not stopping as it wasn't part of our scheduled stops and he said it was fine, which later he lied about and called my husband and I rude for rolling down the window. The tour ended and we politely parted ways with Tom. We kept our manners throughout the day even though it was not returned on his end. I emailed the company and briefly included a summary of our experience and requested a call to go over the details. The person that replied called my husband and I liars without using the term "liar" and told us Tom's side of the story. The call came and the man by the name of Paul Slavik immediately demanded to know what I was hoping to get out of the phone call. He sounded very much like our tour guide Tom, his tone, delivery, and impatient words. I asked he listen to what I had to say before anything because I did not want anyone else to have this experience. He ignored that and said to tell him what I wanted to get out of the phone call then I could talk. I remained calm and did not feed into his attitude, I asked for half of my money to be refunded, as we did were driven around that day. He said "done" and I insisted I explain what happened. I went into details and there was little response to anything I said other than the occasional rushed "yup" that let me know he hadn't hung up on me. The conversation ended and he abruptly got off the phone. Overall, this could have been a great tour. Instead it was the worst thing we did while in Oahu. Luckily for us there was an amazing website that gave details to most LOST locations and we used the rest of our time going to them on our own and enjoying our own company and not rushing through places. About 2 weeks later our refund showed up.
My niece and I took a full-day Lost tour. We went all over the island with a knowledgeable tour guide. The tour was well organized and totally fun. If you love Lost like we do, it is a great way to spend a day because you can appreciate all the quirky show information and still swim, eat authentic food, shop, and see amazing places.
