Check out the sights from one of the Grand Canyon's best viewpoints, Lipan Point. Located on the South Rim, the spot affords magnificent views of the Unkar Creek area in the inner canyon. Take binoculars and try to spot rafters on the river. The vantage point also serves as a trailhead for a long and fairly easy hike popular with tourists. Always exercise caution when entering the canyon due to dangerous weather and wildlife. Lipan Point Reviews
夏はとっても暑かったです。観光客も多かったです。夏よりも、冬に以前来ましたが、冬のほうがよかったです。観光客が少なかったですし、暑くて熱中症になりそうにならずに、見て歩くことができました。 more »It was very hot in summer. There were a lot of tourists, too. I came to winter before, but winter was better than summer. There were few tourists, and i was able to see and walk without becoming hot and heat stroke.
Der Lipan Point bietet tagsüber und vor allem auch bei Sonnenuntergang einen atembraubenden Blick auf den Grand Canyon. Auch Vögel kann man gut beobachten more »Lipan Point offers a breath-taking view of the Grand Canyon during the day and especially at sunset. Birds can also be observed well
It is beautiful up there!
Lipan Point is the second to last stop on the Desert View Drive in route to the Desert View Watchtower. Here you will find relatively similar views to those seen at nearby Navajo Point. Views are excellent. However, we preferred Navajo Point as you can see the Desert View Watchtower from there. As is the case with each of the designated stops along the Desert View Drive, views of the North Rim and into the Grand Canyon are quite impressive. Each is worth making a stop to see, even if for only a few minutes. However, if you are in a hurry, we might suggest skipping Lipan Point in favour of Navajo Point for the reason mentioned above. Note: The Desert View Drive is 25 miles between the village and watchtower. Make sure to allow 2-3 hours minimum for the 50 mile round trip drive in order to adhere to the speed limit and to allow time for viewpoint stops.
