    The south end of the park is the only open roads to the lake. We entered the center through the side door as the main door is still covered by feet of snow. The ranger there was helpful. The...  more »

    Got there 15 minutes before closing and we were basically blocked at the door by a ranger from entering. We tried to ask a couple of questions about the park but it was obvious the ranger was more interested in giving us the bum's rush than taking a moment to answer any questions. Disappointing experience.

    Loved the movie about the origin of Crater lake 😍 the rangers were really engaging with visitors and creating a genuine fascination and wonder regarding the park...we visited the park in summer.. it was a little warm.. I would love to see the lake when it's winter.
