Home of the oldest zoo building in the United States, Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is known for its extensive breeding and conservation program. In 1987, the oldest portions of the park were designated as National Historic Landmarks: the "Elephant House," the "Reptile House," and the "Passenger Pigeon Memorial." The reptile house claims the title of the oldest--it was built in 1875. Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden Reviews
I love this zoo! It’s a bit hard to drive here but I love how they decorate the walkways with beautiful plants. The Christmas light show is very pretty with lots of walkthrough lights BUT I still... more »

The experience is definitely worth the price. Having a membership to the Louisville zoo gave us a discount for entrance, so that was extremely nice. The whole property is beautiful and well maintained. The animals looked happy and their exhibits aided in activity. It is a HUGE place, plan on spending the whole day if you can make it that long. The education center looked very nice and the summer programs are worth looking into, which I plan to next year despite not living locally.
I know a ton of people are against zoos but Cincinnati Zoo is unlike any other. Just what they do for the animals it's amazing. I love all the different events that the Cincinnati Zoo host. And if you don't have a membership and you go at least twice a year, you're wasting your money not getting one. Even for a small family you go twice it pays for itself. And if you have a large family there's a good chance going once it pays for itself. It's always clean the bathrooms are clean the zoo in general is always clean. Always staff everywhere if you need help. You cannot go wrong with the Cincinnati Zoo
