The four-block pedestrian Pearl Street Mall features national chain stores, locally owned businesses, dining, musicians and street performers, and much of Boulder's nightlife. America's Foodiest Town, as Bon Appétit magazine described in 2010, can cater to all tastes. Consider visiting some of the international food restaurants, classic diners, coffee shops, wineries, and award-winning venues. Take a guided walking tour, or hop on a bus to hear folk stories about this old mining supply town. The town, with its fountains, sculptures, and gardens, offers many photography opportunities. Visiting Boulder and enjoyed Bands on the Bricks. It's obvious why the area is a tourist attraction and shopping destination. The area is super clean and stores quite elegant. Bring lots of money. The Bands on the Bricks had a fantastic brewery for their "beer garden" (read adult cage/playpen not nearly sizable enough for those that could get in). I loved their grapefruit shandy. It was 80s night and although that's not my thing the band did play the hits adequately enough. (I have worked with musicians for 20+ years and admit I'm not easy to impress). The crowd dug them though, which is what's important. Had sandwich and a beer at a joint called The Pub, I think. Ultimately recommended and figure there's something for everyone and it's a nice walk to boot.
Pearl Street Mall is an upper class shopping center in Boulder. I like the vibe, it's pretty heady here. It's also very family/community oriented and there are a lot of affluent people that hang out here. Lot's of good places to eat within walking distance here. Cool shops. This was always a fun place to visit.
