This maritime museum in the city's harbor showcases four warfare vessels and a lighthouse. At Historic Ships in Baltimore, start with an audio tour aboard the four decks of USS Constellation. Uniformed crewmembers describe what living and working conditions were like on the last all-sail warship built by the U.S. Navy. Continue on to Lightship Chesapeake, where exhibits include a display about the sailors' canine companions. The submarine USS Torsk allows visitors to see the torpedo rooms, navigation station, operation station, engine room, and crew berthing areas, where over 80 sailors lived. At Pier 5, U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Taney is docked, and you can view the deck, berthing areas, mess deck, and wardroom. Finish at the Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse to learn about lighthouses in the region and for great harbor views. The boys were so excited about it and had a great time. They were amazed about the size of the chain and anchor. Lots of fun. more »

We loved touring the USS Constellation. It was fully open for touring and it was amazing to imagine what it might have been like to be on a warship back in the day. We also enjoyed touring the USS torsk which is a submarine that was in service during World War II and apparently was in service until the late sixties or early seventies. It is now permanently on display in Baltimore and open for tours.
Very cool exhibits and ships! We only toured two, but they were well worth the ticket. The volunteers on board are very knowledgeable and enhance the experience that much more! Absolutely incredible to see that much history in one place and I'd recommend it for visitors of all ages.
