See plant species from all over the world originally grown from cuttings that arrived at Bodnant Garden more than a century ago. The world-famous garden here--which was developed around Bodnant House starting in 1874--provides spectacular views across Snowdonia National Park. This 32 hectare (80 acre) garden is split into two parts: the upper level surrounds the house and features Italianate terraces, specimen trees, and manicured lawns, with paths that take you to the lower level. Referred to as The Dell, the lower level is home to a wooded valley, wild garden, old mill, and even an enchanting spillway waterfall into the River Hiraethlyn. Enjoy fresh, local dishes at the Pavillion Tea Room, ice cream at The Kiosk, or home-baked scones and cakes at the Magnolia Tea Room. Went for a stroll around the gardens this morning. Lovely, a sunny winter’s day and so nice to get some sunshine and smell the beautiful winter flowering plants when generally at this time of year...

Even though we technically visited out of season. This place was sensational. It's 80 acres of both formal gardens as well as woods and folly's. It is picturesque and a place you can get lost in nature for a few hours. There is a cafe at the entrance and at the mill, though it is worth warning that the decent is steep. I use a cane and have a bad back, and it was rough, but manageable. If you have disabilities, the front desk has special maps with easy ways round which is brilliant! Entry is £14 for an adult, though you can add an extra £1 for gift aid, which looking at the gardens, is money well spent!!!!!
What an amazing garden to visit. A blaze of early autumn colour. Knowledgeable staff to advise best routes to take. 3 different refreshment venues. We loved the one by the stream a short walk from the waterfall. Ample parking and plenty of wheelchairs for the less mobile to borrow.
