  • Great day out for all ages, there are ramps and railings to assist in walking around the museum for disabled individuals and pushchairs. There are plenty of benches to take a pause on. The museum is set out in a one way direction meaning that all displays can be seen. There is plenty of information boards and interactive activities for the children. The displays are cleverly done and can really bring you back to the time period. The locomotives are stunning and kept clean and in excellent condition. Car parking is at the Outlet Centre which is £1 for up to 5 hours then £12 for all day.
  • Came here on the off chance as I was in the area. What a brilliant museum. Very clean and lovingly preserved bit of history. Good for the kiddies too with lots of interactive displays. Recommended.
