Enjoy adventure-play activities that change with the seasons at Stockeld Park. In summer, roller skate, ride go-karts or electric scooters, and check out fantasy-inspired installations in the Enchanted Forest. In winter, ice skate, cross-country ski, and visit Santa Claus in his grotto. The hedgerow maze with its castle tower in the middle is open throughout the year. Holidays bring new events--such as an egg hunt around Easter--so check the schedule before visiting. If something appeals, book in advance because many events are popular. What an amazing start to Christmas. The enchanted forest is such a magical place for adults and children. A visit to see Father Christmas too was wonderful the children were not rushed and we're having jokes with him . Their present was lovely. All the staff even in the ticket office were so friendly and helpful. Thanks to all. Especially the young girl in the photo kiosk on leave from the Navy who had got called in to help out ..she was so good with the kids .
Had an absolutely fab time at Stockeld Park. It rained all day but didn't spoil our fun at all. Santa's Grotto was one of the best I've ever been to and all the staff were great. The maze is great, my son really enjoyed being in charge of which way and he actually got us out! Loads of people didn't manage it and back tracked to the entrance. The skiing was OK, its pretty long for what it is, which isn't really skiing, I wouldn't do it again when I go back. We all enjoyed the Enchanted Forest which looks amazing at night and the parks that break it up are fun too. Lovely day out and we'll absolutely be back. Best hot chocolate we've had too!
