Must see · Water Body · Nature / Park
A sea loch on Scotland's western coastline, Loch Linnhe offers plenty of opportunities for tranquil walks, boat trips, and photography. The 50 km (31 mi) long loch follows a fault line formed millions of years ago, which passes through a picturesque area of rolling hills, green valleys, and lush woodlands. At the northeastern end sits the town of Fort William, a major tourist center in this part of the country. From there you can easily visit a series of eight waterfalls, surrounded by marked hiking trails and lookout spots that provide sweeping views over the water. Loch Linnhe is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , world travel planner Edition.
