  • we visited the abbey to include Christmas Midnight Mass. With so much history including the burial of kings and the first person in England to be killed by a tiger. A fascinating place to visit.  more »
  • Free to enter and quite a bit remaining. You can walk up the stairs from the carpark. Also you can go inside and see the small chapel.  more »
  • Love it! Oozes history and culture from every pore. You get a feeling of peace, serenity & grandeur from both inside and outside. Take time to wander around and imagine how it use to be. The tomb of a once King and the history of how England evolved into what we have today. Nice cafe inside for coffee and a snack if you're feeling hungry.
  • Go here for a sense of awe and wonder. Just going through the great porch with The figures embracing to clinging to the abbey gives you a sense of the powerful history locked into this mysterious abbey. Go here to find your soul. It's still there only Squashed by too much materialism
