Explore a dirt road lined by tall trees atop a trusty pony at Ridgway Stables. This riding school specializes in stabling soft-tempered ponies suitable for young children to be able to instil confidence and teach horseback riding skills from a young age. The stable houses over 20 different ponies and horses, all trained to make everyone from the novice to the veteran rider feel comfortable. The stable's small size allows experienced staff to offer a personalized and intimate training experience. • Amazing Experience! I learned how to strengthen my legs and control a horse, now i'm able to go off lead and trot. I'm now learning how to sit-trot! I like many of the staffs, some of them are friendly and some are funny! I love all the horses! Been there every year for 3 years!
  • My daughter did a holiday course with them recently. The quality of the staff was variable - there were a couple who were quite warm and friendly, but an older woman and a young woman who were both quite shockingly rude. They both seemed to lack basic manners and seemed irritated that people were there to attend the course. My daughter told me that the older woman also made fun of one child who was struggling! They seem to think that people are so desperate for horse riding lessons that basic manners are not needed on their part. Needless to say, we shall not be going back.
