Without doubt this is one of the best museums I have ever visited and astonishingly it is completely free!! The whole history of ships and the men who have sailed and fought in them with, obviously..... more »
I really enjoyed myself here! Loads of exhibits charting the rich history of the UK maritime tradition! Well worth a visit... plus it’s free (donations gratefully accepted) See how our great ocean faring ancestors braved the elements and explored the globe, and how modern technology continues this tradition!
One of many free museums in London that are worth visting. Pretty big with a lot to see as well as a great area for children to play and learn if you are bringing them along. Not the most varied museum due to the subject matter being reasonably specific but definitely worth a trip if you are in the area. Would recommend an 1.5 / 2 hours for a casual visitor but you could spend as many as 3 / 3.5 if you are really into boats
