Interesting quaint place to visit. You feel surrounded by the castle. Lovely cobbles in places and coffee shops ! Well worthbstopping off here an route if you can't manage a stay although there is a caravan and camping site. Lovely to break a journey here!
This is a structural masterpiece from its day and it's amazing that it was still being used so much as late as the 1950's before the new road bridge was built along side. There is so much history here with plaques stating when it was built and who designed the bridge, along side the first of its kind railway bridge running parallel to the suspensi9n bridge. Certainly worth a visit.
