  • This was just fantastic, you collect your hard helmet in the air lock and then meet your guide. Ours was Nigel and the enthusiasm and passion this guy has is 100%. You then set off down the 106 steps to get into the boat. I was very unsure if I would be OK with the tight space but this was fine. You get great knowledge on the tour. The cave at the is a cave but the information Nigel gives you brings it to life. Overall this was a great tour for our party of 5 including an 12 year old who thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Remember you have 106 steps to climb to come out. It says the temperature was 10 degrees but I was in shorts and TShirt and yes it was cool but certainly not overbearing. Would I visit again, probably yes but aim for an early bird and save yourself some cash. There is a great gift shop when you come out where you can by drinks and ice cream and these are at a reasonable price. Thank you very much for a great experience.
  • This is different to other caves in the area - the whole trip is on a boat in the narrow tunnels. Enjoyable boat ride but a few worried children on other boats as it is dark etc. The area at the end of the tunnel is a little limited but it does mean you have plenty of time for any photos. Amusing guides it certainly feels unique. Gift shop is well stocked and toilets are available across the road in the car park. The queues can get large, so get there early if it is the busy season.
