With almost 300 vehicles on exhibition from 26 countries, The Tank Museum boasts the largest collection of tanks in the world. An extensive arsenal, informative dioramas, and action-packed displays spread among four exhibits bring the history of tanks and their crews to life. Learn about the conditions that led to the invention of the tank and the story of its development in context of the political and social events of the 20th century. Walk in the footsteps of a World War I soldier--from the recruiting office to the front-line trenches--and listen to the first-hand accounts of soldiers who have fought in various conflicts, most recently in Afghanistan. Tiger day 2019. Awesome experience in well designed and brilliant museum. There's nothing the guys here don't know about tanks. The staff are amazingly helpful and couldn't do enough to ensure we enjoyed our visit. The site is fairly even and easy to navigate in a wheelchair. In the building there are ramps to different levels and lifts too so there was nowhere I couldn't visit. There are plenty of accessible toilets which were well maintained and clean. I didn't have to queue despite the crowds..though the other loo's were busy and other members of our party had to queue for a few minutes. During normal opening times we expect this is not the case. The restaurant was well stocked and very reasonably priced (6.95 for a full English, 1.50 for cup of tea). As were both the main gift shop and the small one adjacent to the restoration building. All in all our trip here was a very enjoyable experience!

Best day out ever. I was really happy with the museum, but also there's plenty to entertain kids too while dads and grandads geek out over the tanks. The vehicles on display are beautiful, and the live display (1pm in the day I visited) was great. Cafe is nice enough, decent coffee, plenty of parking, clean facilities. Adult price was 14 pound for an annual ticket. I hope to be back.
