Discover exotic and rare birds as you explore Birdland, set in 4 hectares (9 acres) of gardens and woodland. Flamingos, pelicans, cranes, storks, cassowary, and waterfowl live in the riverside habitat with parrots, owls, pheasants, hornbills, touracos, and many more inhabiting over 50 aviaries. Warm up by visiting the temperate and desert houses, which are home to birds who enjoy hotter and drier conditions. Stretch your legs by exploring Marshmouth Nature reserve, a secluded 1 hectare (2.5 acre) trail through marshland, ponds, meadow, and copse with views over the River Windrush. Check the website beforehand for the shedule of bird feedings and “meet the keeper” sessions. To plan Bourton-on-the-Water vacation without wasting time, ask Inspirock to design an itinerary.

A selection of very well cared for birds in nice, spacious enclosures. Lots of open space, so a particularly good place to go in current times. The penguin enclosure is particularly good - the king... more »

Lots to see and do. Good for children who seem to especially like the dinosaurs. It's not huge but easy to get around, with various activities throughout the day. Plenty of picnic tables as well as the cafe, though it's right at the entrance so a bit of a walk back if you just want a drink. Water fountains would be good strategically placed. We loved the young chicks. Parking is available next to it for £3.90 a day or £3 when the cricket ground is open. Toilets are adequate & acceptable & disabled access is fine across the site. A couple of hours or more are easily spent here.

Great place to visit. The grounds are really lovely. Lots to see and interactive activities for children. The Jurassic Adventure is fun. You can see other reptiles too. Picnic areas available and cafe offers a choice of quick food and drinks. Small gift shop. Fun for all the family.
