  • This whole site is a work of art. The only caveat would be;- don't plan to spend more than a about two and a half hours here, as the place is not that large. Also, avoid rush hour on the M25 there and ...  more »

  • I have been here numerous times with my two sons and they always love it. The model village is extensive and the trains running round it are very popular with the children. The is also a nice playground and a small train trip to go on at £1 a ride. The one downside is the cafe, this place would be fantastic if it had a better cafe / tea room with nice fresh food, but as it is, the sandwiches and cakes etc are all prepackaged and the service isn't great. We take a picnic these days.
  • What a beautiful and quaint idea. It was very well maintained and was actually a small county rather than a village as there was a coal mine, harbour, race course and numerous trains, lots to see. Well worth a visit. It wasn't raining and so probably best enjoyed on a day without rain. There was a picnic area which we did not go to and an ice cream stand, the shop had lots of pocket money type gifts.
  • It's a wonderful place to visit. It has got a lot miniature world. You can enjoy miniature train ride. You can spend approximately an hour or two here. The place itself is bald half hour from London by train. Recommended place to visit!
  • Very good model village, nice little ride-on train in one corner (although shame you have to pay extra to go on it). Good kids playground - looked pretty new when we visited) with plenty of seating around. Only problem we had was parking - not sure how big the car park was, but it was full and people were parking on surrounding roads. Be careful of the parking restrictions if you need to do this.
  • Good hour of entertainment. Ride of train was good value at only £1 extra and no wait for the train. Have to go around again if you follow the arrows as you miss some things in the fork in the road. We had a nice sunny day, might not be great if it a wet day.
