  • Visited the gardens post lockdown. The glass houses are closed, but the grounds are beautiful. Easy walking, highly accessible and beautifully maintained. The coffee shop is open for takeaway food...  more »
  • We booked our slot in the car park and to go round the gardens for today. We’ve never been before and were not disappointed. The social distancing measures were great with hand sanitizer and sinks...  more »

  • Delightfully curated stately home. They've really gone to the next level in the gardens, everything is so superbly maintained, with plenty to do and see. Certainly a very large property so no really ideal for small children as you will need the entire day and serious stamina to appreciate the entire site.
  • One of the most visited places in the Peak District, it deserves the attention it gets. This place is typical for a day's outing. There is so much to see around and explore from the past here. The house is the piece of history you would always want to have. The vast garden area around it is very relaxing and keeps children and adults occupied alike. A must visit if you are in peak district.
