Dunham Massey Hall & Gardens reviews
Me and my family of 4 regularly visit and love it but to change the pricing from £7.00 per car to £8.00 per person to go for a walk is absolutely scandalous, it’s now £32.00 for us to take this walk..... more »
So it’s gone from £7 per car to £8 per Adult and pre booking only, what? I can’t help but feel robbed for paying £8 pp all of a sudden, when it used to be £7 a car. Is this due to Covid? Now making.... more »
Fabulous family day out! We enjoyed the grounds, the servants quarters and the Orangery. Unfortunately we weren't able to visit the house due to ongoing restorations which is the reason for the 4 star and not 5 star review. The day was overcast and chilly but thanks to very engaging and informative staff the weather went unnoticed. We didn't experience the restaurants because we took a picnic for which there is ample space to enjoy. The icing on the cake was the story telling by Percy the Park Keeper. (It was World Book Week after all). The gift shop was typically priced for National Trust goodies but as it's a larger (than we have come across) shop there was a wider variety of things to choose from. The grounds are very well looked after and access is suitable for all abilities even pushchairs and bicycles. Parking is also in good condition, with plenty of space available. We would definitely recommend a visit here.
We went for the Christmas trail around the gardens. It was spectacular with different light effects and music. It was easy to walk round. We had a baby in a pushchair and access was easy. Our slot was 5pm, a good time as it wasn't too busy so it was easy to see the lights and get something from the stalls. It was a lovely festive evening.
