  • We came to Kiev with my husband and decided to visit Lavra in which I personally have been many times. In particular, my husband wanted to see firsthand the relics of Ilya Muromets. I want to remind everyone that the whole complex of Lavra, except for the monastery is a museum and a reserve and caves with burials of saints in particular. In the distant caves I was literally attacked by a lanky monk with reproaches that I was in trousers and without a headscarf. I politely told him that I did not come here to pray and participate in church services. Claims. Announce...

  • Amazing place to visit. Spent most of the day here with family wandering around taking in the wonderful architecture both inside and outside of the buildings. So wanted to lie on the floor of several of the churches to gaze at the amazing artwork on the ceilings. Highly recommend
  • Very beautiful churches and views. The caves close at 4 30-- definitely worth seeing if you go there. The priests love their Audis and Mercedes. Kind of makes you question where church money is going.
