  Otherwise, the mosque is called Horta Walire. It is located in the Muratreis district of Uskudar district in the Asian part of Istanbul. The mosque was built by architect Kojoy Kasym-ago on the orders of Koessim Sultan in 1640. Inside the mosque is richly decorated with tistens (tour. Cinili - shaving) In the courtyard of the mosque is a shadirvan (covered fountain), as well as active today hammam.

  A small mosque infrequently visited by tourists but filled nearly ceiling to floor with mesmerizing blue Iznik tiles. Is known as the Tiled Mosque for the sheer quantity and quality of them present both inside and outside. Worth a quick detour if on the Asian side. The entrance is a bit tricky to find, but is right off the street.

  Pleased to say that the renovations have been completed and the mosque is open. They artisans have done a magnificent job with the restoration. It really is beautiful. It is a very small mosque and a good walk from the ferry, but don’t let that put you off visiting. Çok güzel.
