Motobu-cho

Formed by the gradual merging of several old fishing villages, today the island town of Motobu-cho boasts paradisal beaches of white sand, clear waters, and a rich array of wildlife.
On the 14th (Sun), kick back and relax at Akabaka Beach, then get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Okichan Theater, then examine the collection at Oceanic Culture Museum, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Minna Beach.

Singapore, Singapore to Motobu-cho is an approximately 11-hour combination of flight and ferry. The time zone difference moving from Singapore Time (SGT) to Japan Standard Time (JST) is 1 hour. Expect little chillier temperatures when traveling from Singapore in April; daily highs in Motobu-cho reach 28°C and lows reach 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel to Hiroshima.

Kick off your visit on the 15th (Mon): stop by Kirei Sake Brewery, then indulge your thirst for a good beer at Kamoizumi Sake Brewery, then see the interesting displays at JMSDF Kure Museum, and finally explore and take pictures at MAZDA Zoom-Zoom Stadium Hiroshima. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 16th (Tue): enjoy the sand and surf at Mikasahama Beach, steep yourself in history at To no Oka, take in the spiritual surroundings of Senjokaku, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Itsukushima Shrine Torii, then relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, and finally pause for some photo ops at Peace Bell.

You can do a combination of bus and flight from Motobu-cho to Hiroshima in 7 hours. Other options are to do a combination of bus, flight, and train; or do a combination of ferry and train. Expect slightly colder temperatures when traveling from Motobu-cho in April; daily highs in Hiroshima reach 22°C and lows reach 13°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Tue) early enough to catch the train to Himeji.

The castle around which the city of Himeji has developed represents one of the best preserved in the country, and has been designated as a national treasure and a World Heritage Site.
Start off your visit on the 17th (Wed): take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Takamikura, take in the spiritual surroundings of Yoneda Taishiji Temple, then soak in some Japanese tradition at some of the top local onsens, and finally steep yourself in history at Nishi no Maru.

Traveling by train from Hiroshima to Himeji takes an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and train. In April, daytime highs in Himeji are 20°C, while nighttime lows are 14°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Wed) so you can take a train to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Kayabuki-no-sato Kitamura and Spas are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Explore hidden gems such as Kyoto Botanical Garden and Kyoto Gyoen National Garden. Go for a jaunt from Kyoto to Koka to see Miho Museum about 54 minutes away. There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Keage Incline, let your taste buds guide you at a local gastronomic tour, take in the spiritual surroundings of Myoshinji Temple, and admire the striking features of Chishaku-in.

Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Visit Ubara Beach and Hojo Beach for some beach relaxation. Step off the beaten path and head to Gongendo Sakura Tsutsumi and Hozomon. Get out of town with these interesting Tokyo side-trips: Tokyo Horse Racetrack (in Fuchu), Yokohama (Soji-ji Temple & Japan Coast Guard Museum Yokohama) and Kirin Beer Yokohama Factory (in Tsurumi). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Fire Museum and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Ikegami Hommon-ji Temple.

Traveling by train from Kanazawa to Tokyo takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. Plan for somewhat warmer nights when traveling from Kanazawa in April since evenings lows in Tokyo dip to 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 26th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel back home.
