Singapore, Singapore to Jiaoxi is an approximately 9.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. Prepare for much colder weather when traveling from Singapore in January: high temperatures in Jiaoxi hover around 22°C and lows are around 16°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Sat) to allow time to drive to Daxi.

On a trip to Hsinchu, an industrial hub in Northern Taiwan, you can combine pleasant walks in the parks and along the harbor with wider explorations in the area.
On the 25th (Mon), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Hsinchu Cheng Huang Temple, then look for gifts at Xi Chun Xiang, then enjoy the scholastic atmosphere at National Tsing Hua University, and finally hike along Eighteen Peaks. On your second day here, examine the collection at Military Villages Museum, make a trip to The Residence of Principal Hsin Chih-Ping, then grab your bike and head to 17 Km Bicycle Path, and finally wander the wide-open spaces of Weiweijia.

Traveling by car from Daxi to Hsinchu takes an hour. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and train; or take a bus. In January in Hsinchu, expect temperatures between 22°C during the day and 16°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 26th (Tue) so you can drive to Sanyi.

Kick off your visit on the 27th (Wed): take an unorthodox tour of Yixiya Strawberry Farm, take in the views from Lonsheng Fallen Bridge, then don't miss a visit to Carp Pond Water Reservoir Scenic Lookouts, and finally take in the views from Sheng Sing Station Long Teng Bridge.

Kick off your visit on the 28th (Thu): see the interesting displays at Taiwan Balloon Museum, then don't miss a visit to Dajia Jenn Lann Temple, then make a trip to Luce Chapel, and finally get lost in a book at National Library of Public Information. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 29th (Fri): don't miss a visit to Tianhou Temple, then take a stroll through Lukang, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Lugang Longshan Temple, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Yong An Temple.
