In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
Bring the kids along to Duomo di Milano and Castello Sforzesco. Popular historic sites such as Il Cenacolo and Palazzo Borromeo are in your itinerary. Venture out of the city with trips to Azienda Vitivinicola Fontechiara (in Borgomanero) and Chiesa di San Vittore (in Isola Pescatori). There's more to do: admire the striking features of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and listen to music at La Casa Maledetta.
