On the 27th (Mon), explore the historical opulence of Osaka Castle, then take a stroll through Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street, then take a stroll through Dotonbori, and finally wander the streets of Minami (Namba).

Kick off your visit on the 28th (Tue): steep yourself in history at Byodoin, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Jodo-in, explore the world behind art at Byodo-in Temple Museum Hoshokan, get to know the fascinating history of Byodoin Omote-sando, then contemplate the waterfront views at Uji River, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mimurotoji Temple.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Kinkaku-ji are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Visiting Yodoryokuchi Park and Kyoto Kimono Rental Sakura will get you outdoors. Next up on the itinerary: wander the streets of Gion, take in the spiritual surroundings of Ryoanji Temple, contemplate the long history of Sanjusangendo Temple, and explore the historical opulence of Nijo Castle.

Kyoto is just a short distance from Uji. In April in Kyoto, expect temperatures between 22°C during the day and 11°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Sun) to allow enough time to take a train to Kobe.

Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Sun): take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mt. Rokko, stroll around Arima Onsen, see the interesting displays at Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum, then take a stroll through Kobe Harborland, and finally take a stroll through Nankinmachi (Kobe Chinatown). On the 4th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: admire the natural beauty at Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens, then take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Maya, and then take a stroll through Kitano-cho.

Kobe is very close to Kyoto. Traveling from Kyoto in May, you will find days in Kobe are slightly colder (25°C), and nights are about the same (20°C). Cap off your sightseeing on the 4th (Mon) early enough to catch the train back home.
